Some Dreams are a long time in the making. Take me for example, for as long as I can remember whenever I spend vacation in a country setting I no sooner had put down my suitcase as I had found myself in the nearest Barn or among a congregation of critters. My best Friend pointed out some years ago that most pictures of me that she knew of were with me sitting on a Horse. Fast forward many years and I came close with a 10 acre property and a beautiful Home with the idea of a Barn and Horses across the driveway. That Dream died for I was too afraid that I would not have the money to pay a Vet if something went wrong with one of the Horses. So I let fear in fact stop me from realizing my Dream (even though I meant well).
The closest I have come lately was farm sitting for a Friend of mine, where I had understood that while there are some definite musts for my Farm I am willing to adjust my wishlist in light of good reason.
Having my Daughter move back into the same State where I want to find myself when it is all said and done, and a possibility that I might live with them during their 3 year assignment not materializing, it is back to my very own Dream.
I come to believe that this Dream of mine is on the verge of happening and I am utilizing the time to work out more of the details. It is an exciting feeling and I say "Yes" to that Dream. With it comes my chance to let all my organic crazy fully come to Life. I want to teach out of the Barn, create in a little Shop, have my Vegetables complete with Greenhouse, that Horse, to end my saga of the horseless Rider and yes... a slew of Chicken. A while back I wrote about the way Eggs are treated before consumption, and I have not bought one since, supporting my local small Farmer.
When looking at it all, one can see that for this City girl it had to take this long to get it all worked out right, which is to say "It is ok, some Dreams take a long time, just don't give up".
So tell me...what is your Dream that won't let go?

We made it through another blast from ....
Power/Heat check, InternetTelefon check, fallen massive tree branch being removed check Unscathed Heat/Air conditioning unit check, completely intact porch/railing check, unharmed roof check. No busted windows check. Feeling so happy/content check

Now everything is looking right side up again. It all started Saturday with the Internet Modem not working. I called for service with an estimated wait time of next Day or in two Days. As always never what we want to hear, but there it was. Ahhhh yes...getting back to what really matters....what was that again? Just kidding. What matters is the ability to find the bright side to everything. In my case I sat down and wrote in my new journal my Daughter just got me for Christmas. I called my Friends and enjoyed all the extra time to let my mind wander to a rosy future....

By Sunday morning my re-energized positive attitude came in handy...for now a Winter storm has hit our area and with it the by now all familiar level of damage....at least to my little parcel of Paradise. You see I have that dubious pleasure of getting the neighbors Trees to wreak havoc in my yard. Two years ago I lost my car port thanks to the Tree of the Neighbor to the right. Act of God their insurance company claimed and the amount of compensation zero. A future blog post waiting to happen. And now two years later there it was....a massive part of an old Elm Tree from the Neighbor to my left engulfing my back deck, not to mention parts of my yard.

Then it kicked in, and all that was right came shining through and I was filled with contentment over how wonderful everything had turned out.

The moral of the Story is this. Things will always happen, what we make of it ,....that is entirely up to us.
~ Life will give us Lemons, squeeze real good, add some sugar and voala...sweet Lemons ~

Another Life lesson....This is a tough one. We are to love with patience and love with kindness. As the years go by, routines have made a comfortable nest in the midst of our hopes and dreams.
Every so often we rebel, take stock of the situation and request change. Depending on how powerful the persuasion of claiming change is we think we got somewhere and the routine continues, while we are hopeful. Years later, no longer holding on, to much knowledge of the real state of the affair, and after countless notes on how to say what no longer will stay silent or can be persuaded away and no seeming success through prayer I realized something!  An answer, gently it has been waiting for as long as I had started writing the notes, tweaking them so not to get lost in anger, disappointment and hurt.... until I could see....not the way I had hoped, but answered and it came in the form of understanding that I would have to do it myself, take a stand, so that I can move forward towards the way I want my hopes and dreams to become the reality that has meaning in my Life.
All too often the answer is waiting patiently inside of us, gently and softly it tries to let us know we had been heard. It is up to us to connect within us, to know that what comes in the form of tender thoughts and wishes for our Life is right and good, and rebelling from the inside is a way to recognize that we are loosing sight of our hopes and dreams. They are the road map to all that we have inside, and to quite them for the sake of powerful persuasion..well that is not the road to travel, for on that road we cannot see that all the lessons allow us chances to grow, understand that we are never left alone, but loved in a way that we should want to love ourselves and hopes, dreams....they are like the air we breathe.

There it was again...."there is only a few Days left" and to make matters worse in a commercial, (we all have hang ups and that is one of mine). I could no longer sit still, got up, googled it to make sure that I am not the one with a crazy misguidance but there it was plain for me to read "there are only a few Days left"  describing a plural happening. As the Day went on I got out my little Note book (yes I did) to finally confirm what I had been persistently correcting on TV (as if anybody could hear me) and there it was again "there is Days for everything" (famous Bull Rider), "there is five allowed" (Teachers Aid....real Life), "there is millions of them out there" ( Diego, Tiger in the movie Ice Age), "there is only eight of us" (Peaches in the movie Ice Age)...It is the last Day of School and we were watching movies....now on that note....I guess with all these grammar disasters around being shared at School is it any wonder then, spread around by young and old, movie or reality, that the result is in fact flawed grammar and with the examples a natural occurrence I imagine. We are the product of our environment. Here is where the change can occur! If we allow to listen to what we say we can turn things around, for as with everything change starts somewhere. We can let it begin with us! Pretty powerful... if you ask me.
It is almost as painful as what happened with "hey" (yes....another hang up)going back all the way, back to the Days of "Hazel". It is just as prominent as "is" instead of "are". It does matter what we say or it should anyways because People do listen! I suppose not to many have time anymore to say the name of the Person they are talking to with the scrolling and flicking on the phone during dinner time at a Restaurant or at home, while standing in the check-out line at any Store, etc., etc..
It is my hope and my wish that we would return to ways that serve as examples to the People around us, young and old, and show kindness and return importance towards one another when we are face to face.

Since money still does not grow on Trees here is something I had learned when training new CSR's. Every so often call your credit card company and ask to lower the APR on your account. Check around locally for better rates when fueling up, many grocery stores corroborate with gas stations in that regard. I have watched many o'coupon saver shows but failed to acquire the talent to walk away having spend $1.50 for a load of groceries, so you are on your own with that one. However a big if not to say massive savings sits right in your Refrigerator in the form of expiration dates. I don't care how old we are it is always nice to have beautiful things happen during the course of our Day. Things that Money won't buy like a smile for the World, or a chuckle inside, the extending of a greeting, be it "good Morning" "Hi" (not hey....oh don't get me started on that one) ...no "Hi" it keeps wrinkles at bay, and sounds much kinder too, and any other way you could think of, now that I got you started making it a Day filled with beautiful things.
On my page /https://www.facebook.com/LifeLoveJoyandHappiness/ I try every Morning to leave a Morning greeting, a little bit of inspiration to get us through the Day and it makes my Day better, but I also am more aware of what I want to say and how (split second re-direction). This is really a biggy...what we say and how..."we are what we say" and when pondering it is one of those sayings that is true....you hear the Folks around you "I am sick and tired....." yup...they sure are! Any chance of change...not so much with an attitude like that....
So today as you are in the World I wish for you that it is filled with beautiful things in Body, Mind and Soul and if you feel so inclined share it with the World around you.

That pesky cough accompanied by the tickle in the throat and I knew enough to reach for the Honey to bring about relief. As it happened I was at a local cost saving Store and to my excitement I found a Bottle of that golden Elixir that would hold the answer to my unpleasant misfortune. Ahhh if it was not for my ever present flip of the Bottle to read the ingredient list that to my disgust I read "High Fructose Corn Syrup, Honey". So now I am envisioning a big kettle of Junk and 3 drops of Honey added to it. Oh sure we are being told it's the same....but NO it is not.  and the other... well a product with amazing health related benefits on many levels....and what has an Industry turned it into.....That's a whole other Blog post waiting to happen!
As for me I left the Bottle of that "stuff" right where I seen it, took my bark and left en route a Store that would carry "the real thing".

So many parts to owning a Blog. So much to learn in growing a Blog. Indulging in the passion of writing and sharing thoughts.

Life is good when you have a Home to come home to!
 What happens when all that is changed and that Roof over your Head is gone? Many, many Years ago it happened to me to and I had a young Child to take care of. The way in which my loss came about was through peculiar circumstances. So is that a clear cut answer in that sort of situation? Observing a Family at work right now that has become homeless and living in a different Church for the term of a Week while trying to get back on their feet, the one thing that strikes everyone as odd is the fact that in that Family everyone, with exception of the Son, who has a Laptop, is in possession of a smart phone, while Mom enjoys a 32 oz. Fountain Drink from 7Eleven. So we think hmmmm those things cost Money buying and then the smart phone upkeep of the calling plan for 4 people. And then more hmmmm as the thought goes to budgeting and cutting back if one is on the brink of loosing a Home. Is that even the norm anymore? Cutting back, denying in order to get back on ones Feet? And if they had owned all this "stuff" before (where chances are they would think we had lost our mind to propose to scale down) is this their way to keep normalcy? I am pretty darn sure I would sell what I could so I could continue to make payments on whatever got me into this mess in the first place. Does it seem as though they are giving to the process what is needed to create a turn-around? Remembering picking up Cans, turning them in for cash so I could buy stamps for mailing my payments, or Bread and Margarine so we had at least something to eat, squeezing every last drop out of the Shampoo bottle and Toothpaste. I have done crazy and am proud to try and get back up on my feet without assistance.
Now in the case of this Family they sure are enjoying the benefits of a Breakfast, prepared Meal at Night and daily fresh towels, without so much as participating in the upkeep of a Home (if you know what I mean?!!) So do Folks just get so numb after being strung out of Luck in this way or is it simply a case of "whatever"?
If I had an answer, tried and true for my Life, I part with what I could, work where I can and keep a hold of every Penny to get back on track. Then again all these programs that are out there while most are giving towards by way of Tax Dollars, some enjoy receiving a time or two. After all it's available "why not...beats working". Thankfully the majority does not carry that mind set or the Phone providers would be on profit overdrive while the collection plate would stay empty.
One can hope that while on this program the Family will be receiving valuable tools, to get back on their Feet for in this case both Adults have a job, so that when another Family falls on hard times they remain are on the giving end of paying taxes to support those in need!

The things that make the World go round....ahhhh..."please", "thank you", "may I" they are so easily bringing a smile to the Face of another, yet somehow have been forgotten to be used anymore in most all conversations or requests.
Why is that?
Could it be that thru texting and abbreviations we have learned to neglect these basic and beautiful ways of communicating with each other. I am afraid so!
Children in School, and I know this to be true as one of my many Hat's is that of a traveling Teacher, they come equipped with "hey" or worse "what the..." but in only rare instances with "Teacher can you please open my Milk". We are lucky if they even get to make a complete sentence. From firsthand experience I learned all to quickly where this way of being initiated....at Home. We are to be the shinning example to our Children and to the World. All to often that get's lost in the hustle and bustle of the World we live in now. But it is not to late....oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!
The way we acquired new habits and adopted them quickly is the same way we can choose to step back take a look at our surrounding and our Family circle and Friends and take back what once was a good way of being and bring back the smiles on the Faces of the World around us.
Be my Guest and copy the "Hey" Day Challenge and let me know how quickly the jar filled up. You will be amazed how that little word made a "Nest" in your everyday Life...but just like a Bird...you have a awesome power to let it fly away again.

That moment when things seem to get out of hand.....we know it well....met it a time or two. That friendly advice "it will all be ok" and that little Voice inside "easy for you to say!".
What I have found again and again is the realization that it all will be ok, that worrying does not add a moment to my Life, but rather block me from thinking as if I was "in my right mind" for in there I do know that a solution will in fact present itself and if only to take a deep breath, say a prayer or send out a thought into the Universe, either way we are being heard.
Now the answer may not come in the way we have anticipated, but will come nonetheless. Oftentimes it will be even better then we had hoped....oh we with such little faith. I think back on the many times when I did think "I should have known better than to worry"....ahhhh but that is the questionable pleasure of being human".
If we find our self in the spot of great concern, we let our self know it is alright to feel that way and then move forward, in the next breath let out a thought of Hope inviting inspiration to enter Heart and Mind to move past Life's impasse. Grab a piece of paper perhaps and write down what comes to Mind and we might come to learn about things we had not previously been able to understand....for allowing yourself to let go for even just a Moment is letting go of control that we do not possess anyhow, for Life's many variances are out of our control. Rather we will trust that a Solution will always become available and teaching us to say more easily "it will all be ok!"
~ We live, we trust, we hope, we reach.... we will never give up trying!!!!"

This is a subject close to my Heart. The more I learn about ingredients, GMO and processes the more I come to understand that we really are what we eat. Take i.e. Eggs...not all is golden here...

Now while each one maybe something the Body can handle...but these three together which are a fairly normal choice for our staple...well that is much tougher to deal with. Now if you check out your Fridge and find Soy this and Corn that....the two highest GMO laiden foods well then there is no surprise that our Bodies are in a Wrestling Match....because now we have given way to keeping control over our Health and allowed various Industries to prepare a Feast that is less than healthy based on profit for choosing less healthy ingredients than morally admissible (if you consider the 17 foods holding carcinogens from the guy with the big red feet)
And here is where the fun kicks in.....we have options!!! While it might take a moment reading the Labels, the feeling of taking back control over our sustenance will not only do your Body good but in the bigger picture it will show those Industries that we no longer are blindly putting in the Cart what they serve up to the tune of Soda with organic Cane Sugar, and more and more Items Non-GMO http://www.nongmoproject.org/....and the Body...oh wow....Happy Dance to say the least.

A Life without Soybeans, Corn Syrup or Corn Oil...I say yes!
Here is to my health....Not easily done...but I keep at it and learn along the way  and now you are too!
 Looking up typical ingredients i.e. for Worcestershire Sauce according to Wikipedia (The essential ingredients are barley malt vinegar, spirit vinegar, molasses, sugar, salt, anchovies, tamarind extract, onions, and garlic)Anchovies....who knew?
Not a mention of Corn Syrup but that is what is listed on a bottle of that stuff...new stumbling block...I want to make homemade baked Beans and need that Sauce according to the recipe for which I have all the other stuff organic (don't even need much...but it all adds up!!!!)
Soybean, Corn Syrup or Corn Oil also is found in
Flour Tortilla's, Chips, Ice cream...this is just wrong!, most of the Salad dressings, many Breads, Ketchup, Mayonnaise and many Jellies and I just got started. Come on you know you want to check your Fridge now!....Please do!
And even in the best scenario...cooking with organic ingredients, then reaching for Corn Starch to thicken a gravy.... "bam!" 
All of this is going back to the near 100 % of GMO involvement when it comes to Soybeans and Corn at the top of the list.

What is awesome about that...taking complete control back. For (y)our self, (y)our family,  friends we cook for and ultimately the world...because we are now an intrical part of getting the junk off and the real stuff in.
So now talk about the inability to make a difference...You are it Baby....the power of One!
 
~ To care is the best and is knowledge ~

We give in so easily....that can be a good thing and a not so good thing.
When it comes to Relationships...giving in can be the strength that keeps giving, build on good communication and the respect that exist to make communication so!!!
On the other hand giving in to the conveniences "of frozen meals" let's say have taken away so much more than we realize....by opening the freezer, reaching for that box, popping it in the Microwave, loading it on the plate, taking the phone, ipad, laptop or sit in front of the computer and communicate with everybody but the people who's plate we just filled.
So maybe...just maybe next time we talk about the meal we want to prepare, take the time to shop for the ingredients we need....together...and then prepare the meal...together...and without the use of force turn off the gadgets...together...and spend time...together.
Idealist you say....it seems far fetched...for sure....but....it is possible!!!
Together we have the power and choice to give in....and it would be a very good thing!
The moments we spend together are precious, priceless and quickly fleeding

With so much time on my hand, not being able to sit on my own computer or talk on my computer activated MagicJack phone right now....and regular TV canceled...well I find myself watching C-SPAN...how crazy is that....even crazier is what I have learned in a few short days....so here it goes....hopping on my soap box hihihihi...I care so I share what I learned and had not known before...

Something that was on my mind this morning...

Life is sometimes like a plugged up drain...You get a bucket and a bowl!...do you know what to do? (if the plumber is not an option)

Here are some options you do have!
#1 being grateful you still got water
#2 actually finding a bowl and a bucket
#3 thankful and downright giddy that you still have your wits about you...laughing in the side of adversity...well..and then you go to work...fill the bowl, wash the dishes, scoop the water if it filled up the tub after each shower...and through it all you not only learn what you are made off, but through gratitude I am telling you your circumstances have not only already changed, but it will get better because you put yourself in a better place...(oh yes you could have gone to the plumbing hardware store....or whatever they call the manly mans places hihihi and bought that stuff that actually works to unclog such inconvenient situation,,,,but then that be too easy...and you'd never known how awesome you can be, resilient and giddy too!!!
 ~ Lemons are the stuff that awesome juice is made of ~

So much of what I hear and see around me lead me to understand one thing!!! One thought different than before...seeking the positive in everything...it makes you brilliant in the art of life...and then! pass it on, touch another, seeing something good in a situation now you have given love from the goodness of your heart...and by sharing given another the chance to also see possibilities and positivity in that situation..."we are each others teachers in this journey called Life".

In Germany we have a saying "was lange währt wird endlich gut" translated "good things come to those who wait"...how perfect is that for my Life....oh I been waiting for a few things....on we go with the patience!!! :D
So wanting to start a blog was one of those things....and look...you are reading my very first one...
it took a bit of deciding in which application I will embark on with my blog...but a sweet friend of mine has enjoyed herself on blogspot.com and we do well to listen to sincere suggestions.
Over the last few days I also had several friends on my page "Life, Love, Joy and Happiness" on fb ask if in fact I had a blog...so all the more reason to get to it.
So...as I embark on my new blog I will write about this, that, the other and everything in between. It will come from my Heart, Life and mostly through inspiration from the heavens above.
